Immediate past Benue Governor Samuel Ortom has alleged that his successor, Hyacinth Alia, seized 23 vehicles “legitimately” allocated to him by the state government.

Ortom said he challenged the seizure in court and won, with the court ordering the return of the vehicles and N5 million in damages. He accused the Alia administration of a “witch-hunt” against political opponents and sidelining stakeholders.
