Social Democratic Party presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo has promised to install 11 to 15 kilowatts of solar power on every Nigerian’s roof within 11 months of assuming office, if elected in 2027.

Speaking on Arise Television, Adebayo said his administration would establish solar-panel manufacturing factories across Nigeria and train citizens in installation and maintenance.

He claimed to have already trained about 2,000 people in his hometown through an experimental solar project. Adebayo said partnerships with China, Turkey and India could make the initiative possible while creating employment.
