‘I thought the end of my career had come’ – Isbae U reflects on 2022 sex-for-role scandal

Nigerian content creator and host Adebayo Abidemi, popularly known as Isbae U (Bae U), has reflected on the dark period of his career following a high-profile 2022 scandal involving sex-for-role allegations and leaked videos.

Speaking in a recent interview, the popular YouTube talk show host candidly shared the emotional toll the public backlash took on him, admitting that he feared his career in the entertainment industry was over.

“2022, during the scandal of ‘sex for roles and leaked videos,’ was a tough time for me. That was the first time I was going through something like that. I thought the end of my career had come,” Isbae U recalled.
