Music video director TG Omori has opened up about the staggering cost of managing his kidney failure, using his experience with dialysis to explain why having money matters when dealing with serious health challenges.
Speaking on the Afropolitan podcast, Omori said the financial reality of his condition is something people rarely discuss openly.
“Money is actually important. Because I can’t like you spend a lot of crazy money. And people don’t talk about that enough. Dialysis on a regular is like 70k to 50k per session. But where I do mine is around 150 to 200K because it’s exclusive,” he said.
He explained that his treatment often requires multiple sessions a week, pushing costs even higher.
“Sometimes you need three dialysis sessions in a week. So that’s about 500K a week. So a minimum wage person is dead already on one session,” he said..Keep reading the full & the viral video now.
