Why Spiritual Warfare Is Real and How to Prepare for It
According to Scripture, spiritual warfare is a reality that Christians are called to recognise rather than dismiss. The Bible teaches that believers face struggles that extend beyond visible circumstances and involve spiritual forces.
Paul writes in Ephesians 6:12: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.”
For many Christians, this passage serves as a reminder that difficulties involving fear, discouragement, division and doubt should not always be viewed only from a physical or emotional perspective. Scripture encourages believers to remain spiritually grounded when facing challenges that test their faith.
Spiritual warfare, however, is not presented in the Bible as an invitation to become obsessed with demons or interpret every problem as a supernatural attack. Instead, Christians are encouraged to stand firm in their faith and rely on God.
Ephesians 6 describes the “armour of God”, including truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation and the Word of God. Prayer is also emphasised as an essential part of remaining spiritually prepared..Read/See More
