The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has sanctioned RwandAir N15 million for failing to resolve a passenger’s baggage complaint within the stipulated timeframe. NCAA Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Michael Achimugu announced the fine on Friday.
The authority also directed RwandAir to replace the passenger’s damaged bag and pay $170 as first-need compensation under Part 19 of the NCAA Regulations 2023. The penalty follows previous sanctions on five airlines in December 2024 for similar consumer protection violations.
