In a video on his X account, Melaye said the ADC would prove that Nigerians are more than those in government if Atiku is arrested over what he described as a frivolous petition.

The petition by former lawmaker Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma calls for reopening corruption allegations against Atiku from his tenure as Vice-President. A 2006 court ruling set aside the EFCC’s administrative indictment. No criminal conviction resulted.
