El-Rufai: I Visited Him Once And I’m Not Excited About Visiting Him Because It Breaks My Heart—Diala

Uche Diala, Director General of the El-Rufai Support Groups Association, has spoken about the emotional difficulty he experienced after visiting former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who remains in detention.

Diala disclosed this during an interview with Trust TV on Friday, September 25, 2026, while discussing his relationship with the former governor and his personal reaction to El-Rufai’s current circumstances.

The support group leader said he had visited El-Rufai only once since his detention, explaining that the experience was emotionally difficult and left him uncomfortable with making frequent visits.

According to Diala, seeing someone he knows personally in detention has been particularly painful for him.
