Grammy-nominated Afrobeat musician and social activist Seun Kuti has reiterated his critical stance on Nigeria’s political leadership, asserting that former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and President Bola Tinubu represent the same ideological framework.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Sell Afrika to Afrikans podcast, Kuti argued that both political figures operate firmly within a capitalist framework, dismissing the notion that switching individual leaders will solve the nation’s structural challenges.
“Peter Obi is not different from Tinubu. They’re all the same,” Kuti stated, echoing similar assessments he made during the 2023 presidential election campaign.
