D4vd case update: Death certificate confirms 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was not pregnant

Fresh details have emerged in the tragic case of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose dismembered remains were found earlier this month in the trunk of a Tesla registered to musician David Burke, popularly known as D4vd.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Rivas’ official death certificate confirmed she was not pregnant at the time of her death, nor had she been pregnant within the past year — putting to rest weeks of speculation online.

The certificate also noted that her cause of death remains “deferred,” pending toxicology results and further investigation by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. LAPD officials said detectives cannot yet classify the case as homicide until the results are in.

Celeste’s body was discovered on September 8 inside the abandoned Tesla, which had reportedly been parked in the Hollywood Hills for weeks before being towed. Police sources say the delay suggests she may have been dead for some time before the grisly discovery.

While investigators continue piecing together the circumstances, friends of D4vd told TMZ they believed Celeste was his girlfriend and assumed she was far older — many thought she was a USC student around 19. In reality, she was only 15 and had met the singer years earlier when she was just 12.

Law enforcement also revealed Celeste had a history of running away from home and came from what was described as a “troubled” family background.

For now, detectives have urged patience as toxicology tests are completed, with the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division stating they are “examining every aspect of this case to uncover the truth and seek justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.”
