JUST IN: The EPL Table After Chelsea Lost 3-1, Liverpool Lost 2-1, and Man United Lost 3-1 Today

Chelsea hosted Brighton at the Stamford Bridge Stadium today, playing their sixth Premier League game of the season. Coming from a disappointing defeat to Man United in the last Premier League game, the Blues needed a vital win against the Seagulls to regain their winning mentality and also secure maximum points on the league table.

Chelsea started the game on the front foot, creating some early chances to find the opening goal in the first half.

After several attempts in the first half, Enzo Fernandez finally gave Chelsea the lead in the 24th minute of the match as he scored a brilliant header to make the scoreline 1-0.

Brighton had a few promising chances of their own in the first half but weren’t decisive enough to score the equalizing goal before halftime.

 

Chelsea were reduced to ten man in the 53rd minute of the match after Trevoh Chalobah picked up a straight red card for a last man foul on Diego Gómez.

Super-sub Danny Welbeck got Brighton the equalizer in the 77th minute of the match, scoring a powerful header to make the scoreline 1-1.

Liverpool were aiming to extend their five-game winning streak in the Premier League this season when they visited the Selhurst Park Stadium to face Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace caused a major upset in the competition as they performed incredibly to secure a narrow 2-1 victory over Liverpool. Goals from Ismaila Sarr and Edward Nketiah secured maximum points for the hosts.
