EXCLUSIVE: Senate President Akpabio, Entourage Welcomed by Military Officers in Kaduna
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on the Nigerian military to safeguard the nation’s economic interests against the disruptive activities of terrorists and insurgents.
Delivering his message through Senate President Akpabio, who represented him at the combined Passing Out Parade for cadets of the 72 Regular Course, Short Service Course, and Branch Commission Course of the NDA, Kaduna, Tinubu stressed that the armed forces must eradicate insurgency, prevent economic collapse, and strengthen national security.
He commended the NDA for its technological innovations in training and research, urging the new officers to uphold the vision of Nigeria’s founding fathers and defend the nation’s sovereignty.
A total of 472 cadets were commissioned: 218 into the Army, 135 into the Navy, and 119 into the Air Force, in addition to Short Service Cadets. Six cadets received special awards for exceptional performance in academics, military training, and extracurricular activities.
