JUST IN: Delta Governor’s Son Fred Oborevwori Distributes N173 Million to Mark Birthday Celebration

According to a post on Saturday, 27 September 2025, by Honourable Ossai Ovie Success, Media Aide to the Governor of Delta State, Mr. Fred Oborevwori Sheriff Junior, son of Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and founder of the Sheriff Care Foundation, celebrated his birthday with a major empowerment initiative.

To mark the occasion, Sheriff Junior disbursed over N173 million to support small business owners and entrepreneurs across Delta State. Of this amount, N150 million was distributed directly to selected beneficiaries, with individuals receiving empowerment packages ranging from N1 million to N15 million each.

The event, held in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area, was attended by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, commissioners, council chairmen, APC chieftain Chief Ayiri Emami, and other dignitaries.

Governor Oborevwori commended the foundation for its commitment to grassroots development, particularly in empowering traders across Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie LGAs.

He noted that such initiatives complement government efforts in reducing poverty and creating opportunities for youths and women.

Attendees hailed Sheriff Junior’s gesture, describing it as impactful and capable of transforming lives, boosting local businesses, and promoting sustainable community development.
