Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reignited the rivalry talk with Manchester United, stressing that his side has consistently outperformed their neighbors over the past decade.

Speaking ahead of City’s clash with United, Guardiola maintained that while he holds deep respect for United’s history and contribution to English football, recent years prove City’s superiority.

“I have huge respect for Manchester United, their history and their legacy for football. But if they beat us, they beat us. In the 90s, they were always in front. Maybe Man City beat them sometimes. But in the last nine years, we’ve won the Premier League six times,” Guardiola said.

He further underlined City’s dominance since his arrival at the Etihad.

“It’s what counts at the end. Since I arrived, always we were better than them. Always. Ten years, nine years, always we were better.”
The comments highlight Guardiola’s confidence in City’s era of dominance, setting the tone for another high-stakes Manchester derby.
